Fraser-Pryce to open season on Saturday at Velocity Fest meet

Jamaica’s three-time Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce will open her 2022 season on Saturday at the Velocity Fest 11,  a World Athletics Continental Tour Challenger Series meet, at the National Stadium.

The Elite Performance Track Club athlete will compete in the women’s 200 metres, which is scheduled to start 6:55 pm.

Fraser-Pryce will face off with Tokyo Olympic Games 100m bronze medallist Shericka Jackson of MVP Track Club.

The field also includes three other MVP Track club athletes – Stephenie Ann McPherson, Antonique Strachan of The Bahamas and Natasha Morrison – and Great Britain Chanel Honeywell.

The SprintTec pair of Shashalee Forbes and Roneisha McGregor  are also listed to compete.
